Near Islands.

Koh Larn is 4 nm from Pattaya- only 45
with a slow boat. From the map you see the 4 main dive
sites. It is the perfect start for beginners and Scuba
Review. Sheltered, small or no waves so you can
adopt to wind and current direction.
1. Koh Larn Drop Off.
Location: Koh Lam is the largest island Visible from the
beach at Pattaya, some 5.5 miles due west of the mainland.
Diving: Depth: 6-25m. Visibility: 5-12m.
Condition: Moderate current to fairly |
| strong (depending on the monsoon) A flat part of the
fringing reef, with luxuriant growths of both hard and soft
corals, gorgonian sea fans, and wire corals, are found close to the point of
the headland at a depth of approximately 6 meters A series
of rocky ledges step down from there to about 15 meters,
where bushy antipatharian corals, gorgonian sea fans, and wire
corals predominate A sandy to rocky bottom slopes farther to a
depth of 22 meters, spotted with clumps of bushy antipatharian.
2. Shark Point (Koh Larn).
Location: "Laem Hat Sangwan" on
the graphic, looks for Shark Point on the northwest
corner of Koh Lam.
Diving: Depth: 6-25m.
Visibility: 3-12m.
Conditions: Moderate current to fairly
strong (depending on the monsoon) Located just off a rocky
point, this site got its name because of the baby nurse
sharks which are often found hiding in holes and
crevices on the reef. Hard corals predominate all
the way from near surface to about 12 meters, with
occasional wire corals and sea fans adding variety.
The rocks substrate to which the corals have attached
themselves continue down to almost 18 meters. Beyond
this lies a largely featureless bottom, although even
at 22-25 meters some bushy antipatharian corals
grow on the rocks.

3. Koh Sak West.
Location: Koh Sak lies about mile north of
the northernmost tip of Koh Larn.
Diving: Depth: 6-18m.
Visibility: 3-9m.
Conditions: All year round dive sites, moderate current (1-1.5 knots).
Hard corals predominate, from near surface to the sandy bottom at
about 9 meters, with some associated barrel sponges. Expect
to find several moral eels snugged up in holes and crevices.
In the sandy areas, look for tube anemones, flatworm,
nudibranch and flat, disc-like anemones with black
saddle. back anemone fish.
4. Koh Krok.
Location: Koh Krok is situated one mile to the east of the northern tip of Koh Lam.
Diving: Depth: 5-22m.
Visibility: 3-9m.
