PADI Launched Emergency
Oxygen Provider Course.
PADI has launched its own
Emergency Oxygen Provider specialty diver course, supported
by a fantastic diver manual and Oxygen Care at a Glance
card.
This is an entry level
course in Oxygen administration, a vital part of the chain of
survival (and recovery) for someone suffering from a range of diving
and non-diving maladies.
Neptune can vouch for the
quality of the course materials for this new specialty.
Every
diver should undertake a course in emergency oxygen administration.
At United Divers we can offer now the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider
courses to meet this need.

Duration 1 day.
The Oxygen Provider
Course is designed to give you the necessary basic training to
administer oxygen to victims of swim, free dive and scuba dive
accidents. When combined with the Rescue Diver and
Emergency First Response course it provides the best preparation
on how to react correctly to an in water related accidents,
especially focus on scuba diving.
Examples of
course topics include.
Anatomy and
physiology review.
Sings and symptoms
of near drowning.
Decompression
sickness and arterial gas embolism.
Dive accidents
statistic.
Oxygen equipment
assembly and familiarization.
Use and
disassembly.
Treatment of
simulated injured divers - breathing and non-breathing, conscious
and unconscious.
Prerequisite.
Non diver level
necessary.
Minimum age 10.
The Scuba Gear You Use.
Scuba gear is
not necessary to take this course.
